Marine Tours was founded in 1980 in Piraeus, initially focused on serving the travel needs of Shipping companies based on the first port of the country. Thanks to its high level of service, the company quickly rose to prominence, following from that point on, a course of continuous development.

Expansion

The founders of Marine Tours had the dream of establishing a leading travel organization that comprehensively covers the needs of business travelers in Greece and abroad. Thus began a parallel expansion of network and services, a strategy that led to a continuous increase in the company’s market share.

Soon, Marine Tours expanded beyond Attica, with new, privately owned offices in large cities of Greece, along with a network of more than 400 cooperating travel agencies countrywide.

Consolidation

With a steady upward course, the company emerges as the largest airline ticket producer in Greece, winning honorary titles of first class that reflect its status as not only the first choice of the country’s most important organizations, but also as their valuable strategic partner.

Moreover, after the establishment of the subsidiary MTS City Breaks and the acquisition of BCD Travel Greece, Marine Tours is today the largest Greek travel group in the country.

Creation of branches in Thessaloniki, Patras and Heraklion-Crete

Marine Tours is investing in the founding of its subsidiary, MTS City Breaks

2006

Marine Tours becomes a member of Radius, "The Global Travel Company"

2013

Establishment of the annual Maritime Conference "Trends in Crew Management", an industry landmark ever since

2014

Marine Tours acquires BCD Travel Hellas SA

2015

Marine Tours becomes the leading producer of airline tickets in Greece, based on IATA, and its turnover exceeds 235 million € for the first time

2017

Marine Tours receives the Brand with History award

2018

Marine Tours wins the prestigious Diamond of the Greek Economy award
