Marine Tours, honoring its long relationship with the Propeller Club of the U.S., supported, once again, as proud sponsor the AMVER Awards ceremony, a well-established annual tradition, which serves as a meeting point for representatives of the global shipping community.
At this year’s AMVER Awards 2021 event, held on December 14th, at Athenaeum Intercontinental Athens Hotel, were honored the companies, ships and crews offering valuable search and rescue services at sea.
At the ceremony 251 Greek shipping companies were honored along with their 2,081 ships that volunteer for the AMVER program, while 17 Greek-owned shipping companies were also honored with Special Rescue Awards after 22 of their ships rescued 505 people who were in danger at sea.
